Location: Rosendale, New York is located between
New Paltz and Kingston, New York, about 70 minutes south of Albany,
80 minutes north of NYC, and 120 minutes southwest of Springfield,
MA.
The Street Festival will be taking place along Main Street, the
section of Route 213 that extends West of Route 32 and through the
heart of town. During the Festival on Saturday and Sunday, only
foot traffic is allowed.
Admission: Admission is free, although we ask for a
suggested donation of five dollars per person at the entrances to
offset our costs. Any profit that the street festival makes goes to
support important programs such as Operation: Music Aid, music camp for local kids and
the buying of adapted instruments for disabled students in our

Parking - Parking is free. Bike racks will also be available
on both ends of Main Street. The established parking areas:
Bloomington Fire House - 14 Taylor St, Bloomington, NY. Off of
Route 32, just North of Rosendale.
Tillson School - 56 Grist Mill Road, Tillson NY 12486. About 1/2
mile east of Route 32/Postage Inn
Brookside School - 11 Tanhouse Brook Rd, off of Lucas Ave, just
north of Crossroads deli.
Rosendale Elementary School - 1915 Lucas Ave, South of Crossroads
deli
Iron Mountain Kiln lot (to the left of the Iron Mountain main
entrance) on Binnewater Road
UCAT will be running regular shuttle buses from each of these lots.
Busses will also pick up and drop off passengers anyplace along the
routes. Loops will run as frequently as possible. We hope there
will be one every 30 minutes. UCAT busses will start running at
12:30 PM both days and will last until 9:30 PM on Saturday and 6:30
PM on Sunday. Busses will be dropping participants near the
festival gates at Route 32 and Main Street (near Stewarts). There
will be limited
handicapped
parking at both ends of Main Street. There is also a
parking lot about 1000 feet down Creek Locks Road, easy walking
distance to the festival. Please note that parking on James Street
will be for Main and James St residents, permit-only!
Western Loop serves
parking lots at the Brookside School on Tanhouse Brook Rd and the
Rosendale Elementary School at 1915 Lucas Avenue Extension,
proceeds east on Cottekill Road, taking Sawdust Ave to Binnewater
Road, to the kiln parking lot at Iron Mountain, then back to 213 to
discharge passengers at the western end of Main Street. The return
trip is the reverse of the above.
Eastern Loop originates at
the Bloomington Firehouse parking lot, takes Route 32 South to the
northmost end of Kallop Rd, then to Hickory Bush Rd, Breezy Hill
Rd, Binnewater Rd to Route 213/Main St at the West end of town. The
bus also travels from the Tillson School, across Route 32 to
Tillson Rd, to Springtown / Elting rd, down Keator Ave across the
bridge to Route 213/Main St at the West end of town. Note:
Unlike previous years, there is no shuttle drop off or pickup on
the East (Stewart's) end of town.
Weather: This is a rain or shine event. Historically the
festival takes place on one of the hottest weekends of the year.
Please be prepared with water, a sun hat and sunscreen.
Rules: No glass containers or weapons. No alcohol can be
brought into the festival. No pets or animals. Bicycles and
skateboards must be walked. Bags will be checked at the entrances.
Please consume beer in beer gardens only so we can keep our liquor
license, thank you for your support.
Festival Times - On both days, Main St. becomes closed to
traffic at 10:30am and music begins at noon. The festival will end
at 9:00pm on Saturday and 7:00pm on Sunday.
